SELF DIRECTED LEARNER
Being a self-directed learner means to take charge and make sure I understand the content which could mean going further and making quizlets or coming in for tutorial.
Camera and Editing Techniques Assignment: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dg5B0iEdBE6phLRD_pgRBRrIoS-9w-Nw
The instructions for this individual assignment was to look up different techniques that we didn't know how to use. Then, we had to learn how to use it and we had to demonstrate the different techniques that we learned in this short video. The requirements were to have one camera technique and one editing technique but we had to show it twice. This is an example of being a self-directed learner because we had to do research individually in order to further our knowledge.

Metaphor Poem
The instructions for this assignment was to describe and relate ourselves to something (which is the metaphor part) while following a specific format. I used this as an example for being a self-directed learner because I had to do some research for words that were more suitable for my poem. I also think that this is a good example for being a self directed learner because this really was an individual assignment that we had minimal help with.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTOR
Being a community contributor means being able to work with others and their ideas and coming to a solution for a common problem.
Music Video : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hxAqXbseYroUBmGt0IJfNbwt93Ku-rtq
Even though this music video wasn't complete and doesn't look as good as it should, we had to collaborate a lot to try to get as much as we could done. For this assignment we really had to be opened with each others ideas, especially when we were running low on time. One of the big problems with this video was trying to find good locations to shoot at. We tried to think of different places but we also had to keep in mind that we live far from each other so we had to meet in the middle, and ended up deciding to film around the Salt Lake area. For some of clothing, we had to talk about who had what materials so we could borrow it for the video and try our best to improve the production of our video

Community Service Packet :
I think that the community service project really involved being a community contributor. For the most part, we were helping the community with the issue of trash being left by the ocean and on the beaches. While we were doing our service, we met a few people along the way and told them about what we were doing. I worked with Sydnee and when we went down to the beach to pick up trash, other people started to help us and I think we did pretty well at demonstrating the idea that it's important to work together when trying to come to a solution for a common problem. Another reason why this was a good project to use for community contributor was the fact that we had to come to an agreement on how we were going to help solve this issue and to also come to an agreement on which beach we were going to clean.
COMPLEX THINKER
Being a complex thinker means being able to analyze a problem, then coming to the best solution while also considering other ideas.
60 Second Silent Film : https://drive.google.com/open?id=15i1KJYMCMxlvMHPvQBXMUM9jehQsH6Jd
I think that this project is a fairly good example of demonstrating being a complex thinker. A silent film is exactly what is sounds like, because there is no sound. We had to try our best to present the story without using any dialogue or music. I feel like we really had to be a complex thinker for this assignment because we had to think of a lot of ways to try to tell a story using only visual clues. It was actually kind of hard because we were really reliant on using audio. The story itself is still kind of confusing and isn't obvious enough so I think that I still have to work towards presenting visual clues.

Creating a Society :
After reading a novel called "Anthem" by Ayn Rand, we were given an assignment with the instruction to create a society with ten laws, five things allowed and not allowed, clothes that would be used by citizens, their houses and how they would get around (transportation). I think that this is a really good example of being a complex thinker because while creating a society, we also have to keep in mind if people that were to live here would be as happy, safe and content as we could possibly help them to be. I worked on this assignment with Mary and we had a lot of ideas for this society. While having a lot of ideas, we knew it was important not to take away their freedom altogether, but we also kept in mind that too much freedom could lead to a bad outcome and an unsafe society.
QUALITY PRODUCER
Being a quality producer means having the ability to complete an assignment with required benchmarks, but going beyond the standards.
Sports Video : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tEvTYUJdG3VDfqa3mg5pWHl3Fp0j18pZ
I feel that the sports video does demonstrate being a quality producer. I worked with Kayley and Austin on this project and we knew that it was really important to take these sports videos seriously because the athletes and their families would see this video. We made sure to do our best while filming and editing. We made sure that we all used a tripod, brought the correct lens, got different angles, stayed there for the different divisions, captured more than the races and to use a song that was suitable for this video.
3 Minute Short Film : https://drive.google.com/open?id=180iVz8CoiUvGFvCPSiumBC6oNkO8_73G
I think that this 3 minute film did contain a lot of quality work. This included the variety of shots, our sequences, the way it was edited, etc. I feel that this demonstrates being a quality producer because there was a lot of work that we had to do before the filming and way before the editing. For example, we had to think of a story that made sense, relate it to our prompt and properly execute the project.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR
Being an effective communicator is being able to discuss a topic by providing own thoughts while also considering the perspectives of others.
National History Day Video : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XklvU6Ki4mhEUM60tA6Rm9IanzpGAlyy
I think that this project involved being an effective communicator because we had to really work together in order to complete this assignment. I also think that this assignment fit the category of being an effective communicator because this video took a lot of last minute planning. We had to talk about who was going to take on which responsibility. Although the video didn't quite turn out how we wanted it to, we worked fairly hard on it as a team.
Benchmark 5.2 - Advocate for an Issue : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OcqG0nXtG99Ok2WJomNCTVmp-vQsvTeCnlpmM9i3fm4
The purpose of this assignment was to identify a problem, think of a reasonable solution that hasn't been tried, and talk to a representative about the problem, or attend speeches/meetings. The problem that we identified for this project was domestic violence and unhealthy relationships. I worked on this assignment with my friend Rhynne, and after thinking for a little while, we came up with the idea of incorporating information into curriculum at school. We wanted to provide information to students, and others about how to identify if they are in an unhealthy relationship, what to do, some help sources, etc. I think that this would fit into the category of being an effective communicator because we really had to elaborate with each other about the problem and come up with a lot of other possible solutions before settling on one. We also set our own responsibilities for this project. We worked on the given worksheet together, both researched, I made the outline and Rhynne filled it out to make it more detailed.
EFFECTIVE AND ETHICAL USER OF TECHNOLOGY
Being an effective and ethical user of technology means being able to complete a project successfully by using all the right tools while also staying on task.
eCYBERMISSION Assignment :
I worked on this project with Mary, Kayley and Sydnee. Basically, the instructions for this assignment was to identify a problem and kind of come up with a solution or further research it. One of the problems that we identified was the uncleanliness of someone's phone and how it could possibly affect their health. We had to fill out a mission folder overtime, record our progress, etc. A lot of technology was involved with this project. As another example, after we tested multiple students' phones for bacteria, we watch the bacteria grow overtime and took pictures that we would later use for our assignment. I think this really relates to being an effective and ethical user of technology, because we had to focus as much as we could and use our given class time wisely. We didn't have any time to be playing games or anything... My group used technology that was available to us to complete this assignment as best as we could.
Political Parties Presentation : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uidi0O4awZOPIolJ4uBbJXKUkV-4AHxu
I worked on this project with AJ and Slate. The instructions for this project was to create a 60 second PSA type of video and we had to persuade people to join our political party while also providing a lot of information. I think that this project fits well in the category of being an effective and ethical user of technology because we used all the tools that were necessary to complete this project well with the time that was given to us. When the video was being made, I had to figure out how to play GIFs in the video and how to do some of the different effects with the text. We also made a calendar and a document with all of the information we needed to complete the video, and another document that included the script which we had to say before we presented our PSA video.
